Tickets purchased now and until 4 January 2026 are valid until 4 January 2026 inclusive only.
For any visits planned between 2 February 2026 and 31 December 2026, tickets will be available for purchase from 5 January 2026.

Visit of the Verdun Memorial

The Verdun Memorial, founded in 1967 and completely renovated in 2016, is a museum offering an immersion into the battle. Thanks to a unique collection and exceptional audiovisual displays, you can get a close-up view of the experience of the soldiers, both French and German, on the Verdun battlefield.
The Verdun Memorial and Fort Douaumont will be open free of charge on 31 December 2025 from 9.30am to 5.30pm. No advance booking is required.

Discover 2 major sites on the Verdun battlefield at a special rate: the Verdun Memorial and Fort Douaumont.
The Verdun Memorial and Fort Douaumont will be open free of charge on 31 December 2025 from 9.30am to 5.30pm. No advance booking is required.

Opening times of the Verdun Memorial and Fort Douaumont: From 22 September 2025 to 4 January 2026, open every day from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
Both sites are closed on 24 and 25 December 2025, 1 January 2026 and from 5 January to 1 February 2026 inclusive.

Early closure: The Verdun Memorial will close exceptionally at 3 p.m. on Sunday 14 December. The Memorial cafeteria will also be closed on this date. Fort Douaumont will remain open during its usual opening hours.
Last admission 45 minutes before the closure of the Verdun Memorial and 30 minutes before the closure of Fort Douaumont.
